This is a slightly different blog for me to be writing, I wanted to give you a little behind the scenes view of just how much time & effort it takes to prepare for a wedding show. So, are you ready to have your mind blown over just how much time & effort goes into that show you just spent 30mins at? well, here we go!
Beckie's time to prep PER SHOW - this excludes the time it takes to meet a venue, set the date(s), create the flyers & banners, & then place the flyers & banners, fill 20+ stands & keep in regular contact. Create floorplan for the day - 30min to 1 hour Marketing - 10 hours Final details with timings etc sent to suppliers - 30min Answering supplier questions - 60 hours Packing & unpacking the car - 1 hour Driving to & from event - 1 - 2 hours (depending where the show is) Time on site - 7 hours Emailing visitors & answering queries - 1 hour TOTAL AVERAGE TIME SPENT TO PREP FOR SHOW - 80+ hours Wedding specialists time to prep PER SHOW Designing items for stand - 15+ hours Marketing - 10 hours Packing / unpacking the car - 1 hour Driving to & from event - 1 - 2 hours (depending where the show is) Setting up - 2 hours Time onsite - 7 hours Setting down - 1 hour TOTAL AVERAGE TIME SPENT TO PREP FOR SHOW - 40+ hours Venues time to prep PER SHOW Setting up - 2 hours Setting down 2 hours Marketing - 10 hours Staff onsite - 10 hours TOTAL AVERAGE TIME SPENT TO PREP FOR SHOW - 20+ hours So what does that add up to? For ONE show, around 140 hours of prep!! Wow. We only do it for you, the visitors, the engaged couples. We'd be nothing without you that's for sure! So the next time you see a wedding show you'd like to attend, please consider all the work that goes into making them the wonderful shows they are.
